Accenture Manila Billing Center gives love to the Little Angels Home

April 23, 2016 was a different and important day for the members of Manila Billing Center (MBC). They were not required to make invoices nor any finance-related transactions that day. Instead, they went to Mendez, Cavite, for a mission - to share and give back to the Little Angels Home, Inc.

Little Angels Home, Inc. (LAHI) is a child care institution providing 24-hour resident group care service for the physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being of mentally gifted, dependent, abandoned, neglected, handicapped and disturbed children, including those abused and exploited. LAHI currently cares for and shelters more than 30 children from 1 to 15 years old, who have various needs and stories. Most of them were abandoned by their parents because of poverty.

The Manila Billing Center prepared an outreach team building program for the children of LAHI. The MBC folks acted as big brothers and sisters to the kids during game time. They also gave clothes and small gifts such as chocolate and candies. They made sure that every child enjoyed and was satisfied with the food they served.

Sister Monica Suliva, LAHI administrator-in-charge, said “Sa ngalan po ng Little Angels Home, Inc. at ng aming congregation, Handmaids of the Risen Christ, ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa mga empleyado ng Accenture, sa pagbibigay ninyo ng inyong panahon at blessings upang mapasaya ninyo ngayon ang mga batang naririto sa aming tahanan. Sana po ay napasaya din namin kayo at nawa ay nabigyan ng mga lessons, na kahit man lamang sa pakikipagkwentuhan at pakikipaglaro sa mga bata ay naipadama po natin na mayroong nagmamahal sa kanila, na hindi sila kaawa-awa. Maraming salamat po at pagpalain kayong lahat ng Panginoon”.

Manila Billing Center manager Lilibeth Dela Concepcion shared “I considered this as one of the most significant happenings in my entire life. I am so proud that I have the Manila Billing Center support around this high-spirited endeavor. I fervently pray that our benevolent God may continue to lead us in bringing upright moral values, positive ideas, warm affection and lofty goals to our less fortunate people. I am thanking each and every team member as we journey together outside the workplace being One Team, One Spirit!”

Biyaheng Bohol at Cebu: First time nila ama at ina na sumakay ng eroplano

Si ama at ina habang sakay ng Air Asia patungong Cebu.

Sa lahat ng booking sa eroplano at paglagalag na ginawa ko, ito ang pinakamasaya para sa akin dahil for the first time ay makakasama ko sina ama at ina sa pag-travel ko outside Luzon.

First time rin silang sasakay ng eroplano.

Sabi ng nanay ko, akala raw n'ya ay hanggang tingin na laang siya sa langit kapag may nadaang eroplano. Akala raw n'ya ay lilisan sila sa mundo na hindi matitikman kung ano ang pakiramdam ng nagabiyahe sa himpapawid.

Excited ang mag-asawa na sumakay ng eroplano. Lumingon pa si ama, huli ka!

'Yon pala, darating ang panahon na makasasakay rin siya dito.

Maliit man na accomplishment para sa iba, maituturing kong isa ito sa most fulfilling na achievement na nagawa ko sa buong buhay ko. Isa kasi sa pangarap ko ay maisakay sina ama at ina sa eroplano hindi man sa ibang bansa ang ruta, pero sa lugar na alam kong makapagpapasaya sa kanila.

Sa Cebu at Bohol ang aming naging destinasyon.

Umalis kami sa NAIA Terminal 4 sakay ng Air Asia Z2775, alas-10:50 ng umaga noong Marso 8, 2016 at lumapag sa Cebu Internatioal Airport pasado alas-12:10 ng tanghali.

Dumeretso kami sa bahay ng aming pinsan na si Gemma sa Consolacion kung saan ay doon kami pansamantalang mananatili.

Kinagabihan ay nagtungo kami sa malapit na fast food restaurant upang maghapunan. Kasama si Gemma, ang kanyang anak na si Ken at ang kanyang mother-in-law.

Kinabukasan ay ang opisyal na araw ng aming pamamasyal.

Mula sa Cebu City, sakay ng habal-habal ay nagtungo kami sa Taoist Temple. Ito ang pinakamadaling mode of transportation patungo sa templo dahil mataas na lugar ang kinatatayuan nito.

Isa sa mga pahingahan patungo at pabalik sa Taoist Temple

Ito ang Taoist Temple sa Cebu. Walang entrance fee dito. Kailangan tahimik. Magbigay respeto dahil ang lugar ay sagrado. Hindi pinapayagang mag-take ng picture sa loob ng templo.

Maaari ring mag-meditate sa lugar na ito.

Si ama habang nagpapahinga sa ibabang bahagi ng Taoist Temple. Hindi na siya makaakyat dahil masakit ang paa, may rayuma.

Si ama, ina at ako. May parang ahas na dragon sa itaas na bahagi, naputol na laang sa larawan. Ano kaya ang simbolo ng display na ito?

Overlooking ang siyudad ng Cebu sa taas ng Taoist Temple.

Pagkagaling namin ng Taoist Temple ay nagtungo naman kami sa Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral upang magpasalamat sa Panginoon sa lahat ng biyaya na ipinagkaloob niya sa aming pamilya.

Plano rin naming bisitahin si Cardinal Ricardo Vidal apparently he was not arround by then. Si Cardinal Vidal kasi ay aming kababayan. Siya ay nagmula sa Mogpog, Marinduque.

Si nanay 'yong may kibat na bag, habang nananalangin sa Adoracion Chapel sa cathedral.

Ito ang Metropolitan Cathedral sa Cebu. Napakaganda, napakamakasaysayang istruktura. Saksi sa iba't ibang istorya ng lipunan noong panahon ng Kastila hanggang sa kasalukuyan. Simbolo ng isang matatag na Kristiyanismo sa Pilipinas.

Ilan pa sa aming mga pinuntahan ay ang Basilica Minore del Santo Nino de Cebu at Magellan's Cross. Nalowbat na lamang ang baterya ng aking camera at cellphone kaya wala akong picture na sa inyo ay maipakita.

Pasado alas-9:00 na ng gabi ng makabalik kami sa Consolocion dahil ma-traffic mula sa Cebu City.

BASAHIN: Sundan ang aming Day 3 adventure, sa Bohol naman kami nagpunta, alamin kung bakit hindi nakasama si ama.

Torrijos Celebrity Club annual gathering, succesful

The Torrijos Celebrity Club (TORCC) annual gathering held last Feb 27, 2016 at the Penthouse of Eastgate Center in Mandaluyong City was successful as its primary objective had been achieved.

Attendees were satisfied to the buffet dinner served during the activity.

After welcoming remarks by Romeo Mataac, Jr. the club's president, Engr. Ronald Tanco (Club Marinduqueno, Inc. president) and Atty. Aurelio Pamfilo (Former CMI president) gave an inspirational messages.

Mrs. Miner Fabul discussed the short background and history of TORCC. According to her, "Ang TORCC ay may tatlong bahagi, ang TORCC ng mga seniors, ang TORCC ng mga kabataan at ang TORCC ng mga nasa ibang bansa. Ito ay nagsimula noong araw upang magkaroon ng pagkakataon na magkita kita ang mga taga Torrijos na nandito sa Maynila."

Before proceeding to the highlight of the event, Mr. Joseleo Logdat - Philippine Baritone from Boac, who won an international title in Japan, serenated the crowd.

2016 Outstanding Young Torrijoseño Awards

The social gathering this year is little bit different from the previous activities as the club presented and honored the 5 Young Outstanding and Achievers of Torrijos who exhibit excellence in their careers and have made a valuable contribution to the community.

Awardees for this year were Alvin Gaye R. Pizarro (Public Service), Ariel R. Reginio (Public Service), Beverly May P. Grimaldo (Public Service), Jonathan C. Quinto (Non-government Organization) and Thomas Jeff P. Constantino (Private Sector).

Apart from words of appreciation, they received plaque of recognition and token as well as ceremonial toast.

Social Gathering

Some attendees were received gift raffle and everyone were encouraged to enjoy the night. Romeo Mataac, Jr. thanks all attendees and those who contributed their effort and time. He sincerely commended the sponsors who provided financial assistance to make the event an attainable one.

Ariel Reginio, newly and crowd appointed president gave a closing remarks. He said, “Magkita-kita po tayo next year at ng maipagpatuloy natin ang gawing ito”.

Ang buhay ni Rommel Luna

Bata pa lamang ay nangangarap nang maging sikat na artista. Ang kauna-unahan niyang professional play ay ang “Jun at Johnny” kung saan ay isa siya sa dalawang bida para sa PETA noong 1992. Maraming pag-arte sa pelikula, telebisyon at entablado na ang nagawa niya, ang pinakahuli at ang pinakamapanghapon ay ang papel niya bilang isang psychotic na tatay nina Lauren Young at Maxene Magalona sa pelikulang “Catnip” para sa CinemaOne Originals sa direksyon ni Kevin Cayabyab Dayrit noong nakaraang taon.

Si Rommel ay tubong Mogpog, Marinduque, nagtapos siya ng kolehiyo sa pagiging isang working student. Nagtrabaho bilang janitor, messenger at marami pang iba. Habang nag-aaral ng AB Mass Communication sa FEU, siya ay nag-aahente sa mga courier companies, umeekstra sa mga pelikula at telebisyon at nagsusulat sa mga komiks.

Kumuha rin siya ng Masteral: Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing sa De La Salle University. Sa kasalukuyan siya ay abala sa pagpapalago ng kanyang mga negosyo at abala sa Rommel Luna: Talks and Lyrics Youth’s Support Organization, Inc. ang dating Rommel Luna Foundation.

Inspirational Words ni Romeo Mataac, Jr., Asst. Corporate Secretary, MFSMI sa Pagdiriwang ng Ikalawang Season ng Basketball Tournament ng Kabataang Samahang Marinduqueño. Inihayag sa Lumera Tower Gym, Sampaloc, Maynila noong ika-27 ng Sep 2015.

Sa lahat ng mga tagapamuno at nag-organisa ng Kabataang Samahang Marinduqueno (KASAMARIN) 2nd Season Basketball Tournament, sa mga nagkikisigang manlalaro, sa mga panauhin at mga manonood, isang mabuti at pabebeng hapon po sa inyong lahat.

"Katuwaan Laang Mandin", iyan ang tema ng ating torneo, isang paksa na animo’y simple subalit napakahalaga at napakalalim ng kahulugan sapagkat sa likod ng katuwaan at kasiyahan, sakripisyo, teamwork, sportsmanship at disiplina ang kailangan sa larong ito.
